    Default A5 hangs in W7 when scrolling within the tools menu box

    I have lost so much work from a repeated failure!!! Almost every time I attempt to scroll by clicking on the scroll arrow within the tools, it just hangs with the Windows cursor icon indicating no response from application. If I then click once more, the whole page goes to the 'dimmed out' with white hazy look. The only way out at that point is to kill Alpha--losing any pending changes.

    Another possible indication of the problem is that the scroll bar is missing in the tools menu. Only the top/bottom scroll 'arrows' are rendered.

    I am on build 4288 and Windows 7 on an HP laptops with all current MS patches.

    I sent you a private message to contact me so we can talk this afternoon... and figure this out.

    Also for a variety of reasons (including things like this) I work in small increments, save, and test.

    If you go to the control panel and right click your report, there is a feature to restore a previous version, but only if you have saved it. It's a very helpful feature.

    try running a5 in xp compatibility mode.

    Right click icon and select compatibility mode set to xp sp3; Run as admin too and see how it behaves then...
