I have two tables: "saddr" contains addresses, and "servicerequests" which contains service requests, one field of which is "saddr_id", connecting that service request to a specific address.
I am using a dropdown box control on a web dialog in a web application.
I want to populate this dropdown with an address line and city from a table "Saddr", but only for those addresses where there is a corresponding service request appointment for today. This field is in a second table called "servicerequests".
Here's what I am doing currently:
My dropdown box "choices" are set to:
This works perfectly on my local host.
When I publish it to my server on my network, it does not seem to find the data as it should. It returns no items. The rest of my dialog finds the appropriate data just fine.
My first thought was that it need the alias to the data, but that has not seemed to make a difference.
Any thoughts as to what could be causing this not to work on a server?
Perhaps the lookup() method is not intended to work in this context?

Code:
List Type: Dynamic Data-Source Type: .DBF Table Tablename: servicerequests display value/expression: trim(lookup("[PathAlias.ADB_Path]/saddr","Id_S = "+s_quote(saddr_id),"addr1") ) //gets all addresses in the table "saddr" filter: Apptdate = date() //this restricts addresses found to those with an appointment date equal to today
