Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

    Mob Gray Spin List Theme

I am at my wits end on this one (and before anyone suggests I do not want to use the iOS style as the rest of my app uses a modified MobGray style that I have created).

So I am playing around with using a spin list for a date picker on mobile but the styling of the spin list doesn't come through for MobGray. I have multiple locations on the server which have a css folder inside of them and I have checked them all to see if there is any spin list styling for MobGray (as I figured it would be weird if there wasn't but thought it was a good place to start).

Upon this research I did find that one of the .css files didn't have a mob gray spin list style so I copied the iOS stuff from both the .css and .js files and put them into the corresponding mob gray files hoping to see the affect (I replaced all nomenclature of iOS with MobGray and copied over the .png files). After all of this nothing changed, spin list was still not styled. So I went hunting into the program files folder where I knew the same a5v12 folder existed and found the .css and .js files there for MobGray. Here I found that there was a class set up for the spin list so I decided to go to my alpha 5 and rename the old style (by this I renamed the style that showed up when you clicked "CSS Style Sheets" under the web projects control panel and navigate into the css folder --> MobGray). I then proceeded to load in the other css file I had found in the file explorer and left it named as style hoping this would fix the problem...sadly it did not.

Now I'm not sure if either of these approaches were even remotely correct and really the only thing I am looking for is a "selector band" for when something is selected in my spin list. If there is somewhere else to theme this (although I don't think there is because spin lists don't have a class attached to them) let me know but if not then would someone please tell me of a way I can make sure I have the updated style sheets loaded in (obviously without getting rid of the custom styling I have added to the MobGray style). However even if I have to get rid of this I don't mind as I can easily just copy and paste it back into the newly loaded style sheet!

As always thanks for keeping me from pulling my hair out!!

I figured it out, only after pulling out my own hair of course, had to go through all my css style sheets in the explorer and find the right one to copy into my web project folder.
