Hi,
I have a table layout report and want to display multiple records in an auto generated ordered nested list.
I have 2 issues;
1. My list does not display the sub numbers correctly
2. If there is multiple records that requires displaying, the list does NOT automatically go from 1. [first record] to 2. [second record] and so forth.
Goal:
1. Item [First Record]
1.1 Item
1.2 Item
1.2.1 Item
2. Item [Second Record]
2.1 Item
What I get is;
1. Item
1. Item
2. Item
1. Item
2. Item
1. Item
I use a static HTML form within the layout table cell to achieve this and created the following html and css code to generate the list;
<style>
<!--
ol {
counter-reset: section;
}
li:before {
counter-increment: section;
content: counters(section,".") " "; /* Adds the value of all instances
of the section counter separated
by a ".". */
/* if you need to support < IE8 then
make sure there is no space after
the ','
list-style-position: inside
}
-->
</style>
<body>
<ol>
<li>Item</li> <!-- 1 -->
<li>item <!-- 2 -->
<ol>
<li>item</li> <!-- 2.1 -->
<li>item</li> <!-- 2.2 -->
<li>item <!-- 2.3 -->
<ol>
<li>item</li> <!-- 2.3.1 -->
<li>item</li> <!-- 2.3.2 -->
</ol>
<ol>
<li>item</li> <!-- 2.3.1 -->
<li>item</li> <!-- 2.3.2 -->
<li>item</li> <!-- 2.3.3 -->
</ol>
</li>
<li>item</li> <!-- 2.4 -->
</ol>
</li>
<li>item</li> <!-- 3 -->
<li>item</li> <!-- 4 -->
</ol>
</body>
