I've looked far and wide and couldn't find a solution to this question. I'm hoping it's something easy.
For my Delivery application, I've divided each of the serviced zip codes into 9 sub-sectors, so that the Dispatcher can easily group his/her deliveries. Each of the 9 sub-sectors is given a number from 1-9. When a delivery is being scheduled, next to the zip code, the "sub sector" is also shown (e.g. Zip Code: 14075; Sub Code: 3). The 9 equal-sized sub-sector divisions are calculated by the longitudes and latitudes... and it's working great!
I want to add a Google Map visualization for the user, so that he/she can call up a Google map and see the various sub-sectors of the delivery region. You can view what I'm looking to accomplish in this image, showing the 9 sub-sectors in this image (click to enlarge): MapGrid.jpg
I know how to add a single circle to a map, but don't know if there's a way to overlay these gridlines/squares (each of the lines/squares would be controlled from a SQL table I've created that contains the latitudes/longitudes for the divisions for each zip code). I couldn't find any place where I could overlay anything (lines, rectangles, text, etc.) to a map. I assume it would be done with an XBasic function (using a SQL connection), but I just don't know where to start.
If you have any suggestions or ideas, I'd really appreciate the help. I think this will really add some power to the application (it will especially help the dispatcher in scheduling deliveries to sub-sectors of neighboring zip codes).
Thanks for your help!
