Bonus TIPS for Successful Posting

Try a Search First
It is highly recommended that a Search be done on your topic before posting, as many questions have been answered in prior posts. As with any search engine, the shorter the search term, the more "hits" will be returned, but the more specific the search term is, the greater the relevance of those "hits". Searching for "table" might well return every message on the board while "tablesum" would greatly restrict the number of messages returned.

When you do post
First, make sure you are posting your question in the correct forum. For example, if you post an issue regarding Desktop applications on the Mobile & Browser Applications board , not only will your question not be seen by the appropriate audience, it may also be removed or relocated.

The more detail you provide about your problem or question, the more likely someone is to understand your request and be able to help. A sample database with a minimum of records (and its support files, zipped together) will make it much easier to diagnose issues with your application. Screen shots of error messages are especially helpful.

When explaining how to reproduce your problem, please be as detailed as possible. Describe every step, click-by-click and keypress-by-keypress. Otherwise when others try to duplicate your problem, they may do something slightly different and end up with different results.

A note about attachments
You may only attach one file to each message. Attachment file size is limited to 2MB. If you need to include several files, you may do so by zipping them into a single archive.

If you forgot to attach your files to your post, please do NOT create a new thread. Instead, reply to your original message and attach the file there.

When attaching screen shots, it is best to attach an image file (.BMP, .JPG, .GIF, .PNG, etc.) or a zip file of several images, as opposed to a Word document containing the screen shots. Because Word documents are prone to viruses, many message board users will not open your Word file, therefore limiting their ability to help you.

Similarly, if you are uploading a zipped archive, you should simply create a .ZIP file and not a self-extracting .EXE as many users will not run your EXE file.

Web page with text (inside a table), now has extra line spacing after installing 8301

Web page with text (inside a table), now has extra line spacing after installing 8301

I have a web page that has a table with a picture in one column and text (centered) in another column, that has worked great many years.
I built the page using the WYSIWYG tab. The building process was very simple and fast.
I have looked at the source tab, but I know almost nothing about HTML and CSS.

    Below is an example

    My Company
    This is my home page
    Login
    Logout

After installing 8301 it appears as

    My Company

    This is my home page

    Logout

    Any suggestions on repairing this?

    Thanks
    Tony

Without seeing the code from the source tab, my guess is you actually have line feed returns that were being ignored previously OR it is a style issue. If you'll load the web page (or share an example live online) perhaps you or someone else can have a look using dev tools in chrome to spot the issue as this could be line returns or a style issue. If you do not know how to uses dev tools there was just a great video posted about it. You would do well to learn it, even just the basics would be extremely beneficial to you down the road!

I noticed that this particular block has a large margin, is this what you are referring to?

If your referring to other text below it the same thing applies try margin at 2px with smaller padding, etc This is what I would do, use dev tools to look at where things are falling out and what elements have margins or padding then go into AA and style it accordingly to what you might expect, you can also set line height for text as well when it isn't what you need in a particular area outside of what is in the style itself.

I've included a picture of what the page looks like in Alpha Five (on my desktop) before I publish.

If I could critique this, I would suggest you drop this whole table thing. This same info could be in a panelcard with a header and footer and a couple of frames to make this much more mobile friendly and have a much cleaner, modern feel and look to it with REALLY minimal work.
I felt a little like playing with it, you can find my work here as a test https://www.nwcopro.com/golf_test.a5w
attached is the file if you feel like looking at it.

As for the editor not displaying what your seeing online, it's got to be that the style isn't loading locally like it would published I am not sure exactly why that would be - I do see what you mean though. Clearly online there are margins not showing locally

Thanks for taking a look at this and offering some suggestions.
I know I need to update, but I'm a bit out of practice.
I've been keeping this up and going for my local Golf Club, mainly for texting members.
I'll do a little research and see if I can continue what you started.
                  Thanks again!

Looking at the Golfmockup component you put together, it appears to have the same double spaced text in the footer panel.
Is there a way to make 3 lines of text single spaced? I looked in properties and didn't see a way.
                    Thanks

try adding line-height: 21px; in the style properties of the text control in the footer that should make it look tighter, the default is 44 which puts a good bit of space - if you go into the dev tools you can use the arrow keys to spin it up or down to see what might work best, you might notice that I set an exact height to the footer as well which if that text is static you can set to exactly what you need if line height is 21 the footer can be set to 80px and that should hold it all nicely. I set it exact because for some reason if it isn't given an exact size it doesn't always display properly on a mobile device if it's value is left blank.
I usually handle those types of things with responsive layout rules, but that's probably another topic for another day!
