For You XBasic Gurus... Output checkbox items to email.

So, I have a checkbox control that is dynamically populated with data from a SQL table (Parts).

I would like it so that the end user is able to check all of the parts that they need and then output all selections to an email.

Ex:

1. Part 1 [Checked]
2. Part 2
3. Part 3 [Checked]
4. Part 4 [Checked]
5. Part 5

Email > I am requesting the following parts: Part 1, Part 3, Part 4

Hopefully it makes sense..



I have my Xbasic function as:

dim mysecretkey as c = "my mandrill key"
dim ms as p
ms.send_to = e.datasubmitted.sendto (email address specified in textbox control)
ms.from_email = e.datasubmitted.sendfrom (using the get a5w user expression to output firstname.lastname) + "@whatever.com" (To get the full email address of the user)
ms.subject = "New Request For Parts"
ms.message_html = "I am requesting the following parts:  " + e.datasubmitted.choices (This is where I am stuck - this is the checkbox control)
dim pResult as p
pResult = email_send_mandrill(mysecretkey,ms)
if pResult.error = .f. then 
	reqParts = "alert('Parts request sent successfully!');"
else
	__name = "alert('Parts request failed to send! Please try again later.');"
end if 
end function

Any help on this is greatly appreciated!

If you do this, because the checkbox return is in an array:

vlist = e.dataSubmitted.choices.dump()

You'll have a crlf() delimited list of the choices in vList. You *may* want to replace those crlf() with a "<br>" depending on your email format

vlist = stritran(vlist, crlf(), "<br>")

or, replace with commas:

vlist = crlf_to_comma(vlist)
