Date picker restrict dates

I wish to disable in the date picker any date:-
Before today's date
After 30 days ahead
I understand I will need a Java function for both the low & high date to do this, but cannot figure out either.
Any help out there.

Something like this might work to restrict dates less than today:
Low Date: function:getLowDate

Javascript Function:
function getLowDate() {
var startDate = {dialog.object}.getValue('STARTTIME');
if(startDate >= Date()) return startDate;
else return '';
}

Where STARTTIME is the name of the date picker.
Something similar for the high date, but haven't figured that out yet.

in the date picker
define low date as javascript function setLowDate
define high date as javascript function setHighDate
and copy the above code in the javascript functions. and run your dialog.
it should work.

function setLowDate() {
var d1 = new Date();
var d2 = d1.toFormat('dd/MM/yyyy');
return d2;
}

function setHighDate() {
var d1 = new Date();
d1.setTime(d1.getTime() + (30 * 86400000));
var d2 = d1.toFormat('dd/MM/yyyy');
return d2;
}
