I have built a UX with edit-combo text boxes that link to an Access table over an alphaDAO connection string. The Access file is on the same network as my local computer and the app server. On my local dev instance, I am able to connect to the tables, but when I publish to the server (IIS) the connection is no longer good and it breaks the web page altogether.
I can access the Access DB from the server that is running IIS, so I feel like it isn't an AD permissions issue (unless IIS uses a separate user). Also, there is not a lock file on the Access DB.
I have attempted the "Access" connection type as well as an ODBC connection and neither of these made any difference. Test DBs of .mdb and .accdb yield the same result. When published and accessed from my browser, I get the following error:
I've exhausted my resources. Has anyone successfully published an Access AlphaDAO? If yes or if you can glean what I am doing wrong, I would be extremely thankful for some help.
Thank you.
