I'm not certain how to explain this error, but it seems to be related to recent builds of Alpha Anywhere.
Currently running Alpha Anywhere v 12.4.5.4.7 Build 5487
There are possibly two separate issues occurring:
First, the find by key window opens when you click it, but then after making a change in the record it will not open again. The specific change is on an embedded table "visits", and we are pulling up a lookup table to get a counselor ID that fills counselor name. after this table opens and closes the find by key dialog window will not open again until you close and reopen the form. If you click the icon the main application top bar will change colors (as though it has gone inactive) but the window will not come up.
I read somewhere on the forum where someone had a similar issue and changing values in the registry fixed it. This does not fix the problem for me.
the other issue: When you first open the application, I've noticed some graphical issues where the status/information bar at the bottom of the form (where it would tell you Record number, Set, Caps lock, etc) is overlayed on the area where the tabs appear (control panel, forms, reports, etc). Hovering the mouse over this area makes the status bar go away. see attached screenshots for example.capture1.JPGCapture2.JPGCapture3.JPG
Not sure if the errors are related, but we did notice them both at the same time (after updating all machines to this build).
