Thanks so much for that detail Steve, I think I am nearly there!

When I run the page and hover the curser over the link RunReport I can see the url supid number of the active record specified at the page bottom correctly
ie correcturl.a5w?supid=269
However when I click the link Run Report, go to the next page and press the report button the emailed report arrives with all records.
I wonder if you can see where I am wrong

i am having the same problem as this. i have generated a report from a set named shopcart_product from the control panel and named the report shopcart_report. now, i want to send this report via email. i can't do it. i am messed up.
will this code work?

Got it. It was simple enough using email_send2() which allows for a delimited list of file names for attachment.

I've been trying to work through this for a few days, and I can't seem to get my code correct. Am I putting this in the wrong event? I eventually need the filter to equal the orderid just submitted, and the pm.to to equal the user's e-mail (which is the userid). However I can't even get it to email me with the attachment. I've tried putting this in the AfterInsertRecord, and AfterUpdateRecord, and AfterUpdateRecords

Quick Update; I got this working on my localhost but when I publish it through my LAN it sends the email but not the attachment. The path is the same on my localhost and my server.
