I hope i can get this one filter problem resolve once for all.
specs:
A gird with about 650,000 records.
OnSearchrender event..
GRID1_GridObj.gridFilterSet('unique_id=:whatunique_id ','','71|||c|whatUnique_id');
i place these grid filter to only showing unqiue_id = '71"
YES YES YES, i have the grid open with only ONE record , not 650,000 perfect.
Now, my grid has "custom/alphabet search" buttons.
you know, now the grid is fileterd for one record, these alphabet button search is not useful
until we eventually release 650,000 records (un-filtered?)
so i place these codes:
Canalphabetbuttonsearch event
{grid.Object}.clearSearchForm();
{grid.Object}.submitSearchForm();
hoping it would release the filter and let the alphabet button to show the records.
it is not working,
so i place a button and call it "clear button" with these codes :
{grid.Object}.clearSearchForm();
{grid.Object}.submitSearchForm();
and yes it clear and made the grid showing 650,000 records.
can someone point me to the right direction ?
currently, in the live model, i let the grid to initially showing 650,000 (unfiltered)
then use
ongridrendercomplete event to fire these codes:
{grid.Object}.alphabetSearch(2); like hitting button number 2 to filter
it is working, but not professional, you won't notice anything on small file,
but Hugh file like 250,000 plus, you begin to get embarrassed. hi
i found it to be very annoying to see massive rendering twice ?
appreciate help
thanks
