Inserting a Web Component into Dreamweaver

Hi All

I want to add a grid web component to my website that was built using Dreamweaver

How do I add this grid component to the site?

From the web controlpanel, right-click on the component and select "insert component into an a5w page". When the dialog opens, study the jiffy help.

Thanks for the link!

I followed the process in the video and pasted the A5 code for the Head section and Body section into Dreamweaver.

Unfortunately the grid component does not populate on my Dreamweaver page.

Is there something wrong with the A5 code?

You need to change the name from HTML to A5W

Uh, silly question, but your not trying to see the component with Dreamweaver, or trying to use it on a web page without the A5 Web App Server are you?

As others have indicated, just as you can't directly open an .aspx or .PHP file directly in a browser and have the code executed, you cannot directly open an .a5w page and have the code executed. Save your page with an A5W extension and request it through the server in order to have the grid execute and render.
