Welcome to my first post. I am new to Alpha 5 and MySql. I am using Navicat.
I have parent table, Carrier, and a child table, Truck. I am importing comma delimited text files using Navicat. The Carrier file imports just fine, but when I import the Truck table. I get this error:
[Err] [Imp] 1452 - Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails (`freightzone`.`truck`, CONSTRAINT `Carr_ID` FOREIGN KEY (`Carrier_IDFK`) REFERENCES `carrier` (`Carrier_ID`) ON DELETE NO ACTION ON UPDATE NO ACTION)
For some reason the error occurs on blocks of 100 records at a time. It will import many records successfully, then error on 100 records, then import many records, then error on 100 records, and so on.
The parent record exists in all cases. If I delete some records in the text file, completely different sets of records get the error, still in sets of 100.
If I import a smaller set of records, say 150, it imports just fine.
The text file looks like this:
"Index","TrkNum","Carrier","Carrier_ID"
1002,"8","S & R Trucking",4647
1003,"1602","Kimberly Logistics",4407
1004,"568","Vyda Express",3724
1005,"225","V K Express Inc",3749
1006,"250","Trans-Link Inc.",1395
1007,"18","Rutledge Trucking",2994
1008,"1156","J A G Enterprises LLC",4398
1009,"102","Prestige Transport LLC",2102
1010,"1026","VSS Carriers Inc",2007
1011,"102","Crumex De Laredo LLC",3301
1012,"606","Smart Transportation Serv",2502
1013,"9264","Two Borders, Inc",3478
1014,"444","KLP Transport Corp",3622
Any help is appreciated.
