On a Dialog how to Clear the Contents of a Character Field after Submit

Is it possible to clear (make null) the contents of a character field on a dialog after a successful Submit? The field(s) in question are "unbound" but updateable by the user. During the AfterDialogValidate event we are writing out this unbound data to data tables via xBasic. We are just using the fields on the dialog to collect the data. HOWEVER, 99% of the fields on the dialog are bound to tables and fields. There are just two that are not. After the Submit we are leaving the form open but we would like for the two character fields in question to have their contents made NULL after each submit.

Is this possible to do?

you should be able to do.
in the afterdialogvalidate event you will be saving the record, that will expose a variable
rtc.flagRecordWasSaved
so you can add this to that event

if rtc.flagRecordWasSaved then
 e.dataSubmitted.yourControl = ""
e.dataSubmitted.yourControl2 = ""

end if

should work.

i think you can also do it in your code where you insert via xbasic if that is successful erase the value, or in the dialog execute function which executes all the time when refreshed you may be able to do. you can pick any method which is comfortable for you.
