Has 2 words but only finds one

I bow to the forum who most likely can offer a solution that is alluding me! I have the following code in my page:

tbl = table.open("[pathalias.adb_path]\posts")

query.order = alltrim("site_city")
query.options = ""
qry = tbl.query_create()
tbl.fetch_first()

tbl.site_city works fine everywhere except in my link code!

------> My problem is when there are two words in the tbl.site_city such as New York. When I use it as part of my link code (above) I get only New! and the rest of the string is cut off. I've tried many possibilities but no go. When the city is only one word "Minneapolis" the entire code works fine.

When I use ? tbl.site_city on a line by itself, the correct result is displayed on the page...New York.

The url doesn't like spaces in it....

you can use the urlencode/urldecode functions to get a url friendly value.

you could wrap both sides of your equation in remspecia() so that any space - on both sides, was removed.

Or you could wrap the entire URL in URLENCODE() to replace spaces with URL safe values.

I'm not sure if either would work.

When there are blanks inside a url, you want to replace them with %20.

Bingo! URLENCODE() seems to be the solution. Funny I've used this before several times but didn't think of it this time.
This is what I now have: URLENCODE(alltrim(tbl.site_city))

This might not be the issue you are inquiring about, but I noticed the following error:

query.order = alltrim("site_city")

should be

query.order = "alltrim(site_city)"

I tried to reply immediately after your post but had forum issues since I changed my profile options.

Anyway, I did try: query.order = "alltrim(site_city)" but I get an error.

When I use: query.order = alltrim("site_city") it all works fine. I use it this way in several pages.
