I wanted to see if others could test this before I turn it in as a V9 bug. It seems to have gotten broken in the most recent patch.
--------------------
EDIT - Note regarding below: I had tested this in IE8. So, IE being as it is, the problem ONLY exists in IE if you are in Normal Mode (as opposed to 'compatibility mode'). If I toggle IE8 to Compatibility Mode, the problem goes away. And I see it works just fine in Firefox. So the problem is only in IE8 in Normal Mode. IE is such a pain -- its the only program I know of where a 'compatibility mode' means it works like it is supposed to work.
---------------------
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
Republish the page, refresh the browser and try the "Search..." link, it won't work (on mine).
I know I have used DOCTYPE for years on V9 applications and am sure this show/hide search part was not affected by doctype.

- Make a grid off of any table and add a search part with a couple fields.
- On the Search Properties, check the box for Enable Show/Hide of Search Part (see attached image), and make the initial state Closed.
- Add it to a page, and publish to localhost (not LivePreview).
- Try the 'Search..." link to open the search part.
- It should work fine.
- Now on the A5W page, add any DOCTYPE to the very top of the page. I tried several, here is the V10 default:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
