In my development database, I have a set that has two forms. One is the main entry form with embedded browse and the other a dialog for adding new records. The set has a parent and one child table.
I am the process of developing additional features. At the end of a development session a few days ago, I saved everything and closed. Nothing unusual. Now, coming back to the work, I tried to open the main form in design mode. The first right click does nothing. The next right click says the form is locked by another session.
I am able to open the add new dialog in design mode. This form deals with the parent table only. I have several forms which add, edit, etc. to the child table and all are OK.
Opening the form (Trans_Main_1) for use always fails with a message:
"Script:OnPush line:30
varP_Trans_Main_1=:Form.view(layout_name)
An unhandled exception was generated"
varP... is a statement which has run without problem forever.
Sometimes I will get an "unhandled error" message and Alpha will close.
I tried to back up the database but the backup says the set is in use, which it is not, and offers to skip that part of the backup.
I have restarted and rebooted any number of times to no avail. I tried to replace the form with a copy from my production version using UtilsObj() which says the destination set is in use.
I have run a registry cleaner with no change. I know there are flags somewhere that Windows uses to say a file is in use but I don't know how to get to it to see if it is on or if it can be changed or if it even applies in this situation.
Any suggestions?
