Ok, this may sound weird, but here goes.
Over the weekend I did some work on my database, and when I left on Sunday it was working fine. Now today, Wednesday I go back into it, and things have gone weird. I did not pack it, compact it, empty it, index it or anything global like that last time I was in it. This is the second time this has happened in the last 4 months, and I don't know what's causing it.
I have a form, a big form, that has lots of type-in fields linked to multiple child tables of a set. Now, all of my links have been corrupted, but only on this one form with this one particular set. When you click on any of the fields that link to a child table, and select properties to look at the link, it should say something like "Reports_Applicant_Credit->APPSSN" but what it shows is this: eports___applicant_credit->APPSSN (and no, that's not a typo, it's actually missing the "r" in reports)
Now, I go in and select under the field properties the button that allows you to set the field association, and click the proper child table, and select the field. It then changes to show the correct "Reports_Applicant_Credit->APPSSN" I then hit OK, then SAVE the form, close it, and immediately open it back up, and it has reverted to the corrupted pointer. The ONLY way that I have found to correct this is to delete the field on the form, and place a new one and re-associate it. I don't want to do this as it took me almost three days last time to go through all my forms and fix them. Is there some setting, or something I can do that will allow the change to stick? Or is there something that I am doing that is causing this? I can't seem to figure out either way what's going on. Is this a v9 bug that people are aware of and I just have to live with it, or what? I'm a bit frustrated right now, so before I rant any longer or type something I shouldn't, I'm going to say thanks in advance for any help that can be given, whether an answer or a point in the right direction. Thanks!
Jason
