conditional expression

Dear Alpha programmers.

i have a browse on my form (name=browse1)
i have a conditional object with multiple conditions

I can never set a proper expression to have the object
pop up when my cursor is inside my "browse2" or focus on browse2.

as my DELETE button will only be allow when I am on the browse2. because the purpose is to delete item within the browse.

your assitance is greatly appreciated.

Ken,
If I follow your post, you want to delete a record in a browse with a button. The problem is that when you leave the browse to push the button, the record in the browse loses focus. I don't know of a way to delete with a button, but delete will work from the menu or toolbar to delete the record that has focus in a browse. If you need to run some script lines during the delete, you can trap the ctrl-d in the form OnKey event. Instead of using the built in delete command, I set the delete action on the menu and toolbar to run the xbasic commands:

sys_send_keys("{^D}")

On the OnKey event for the form, I trap the ctrl D:

In this way, I can also run some other xbasic commands as needed on the OnKey Event.

Yes...Now I see this hide/show of the button would be a better idea. Initially I was opt to use conditonal object
where when focus on browse, the delete button is show.

Will implement it shortly. This would avoiding the change of user where doing something on otherside of the form from accidetally touching the delete and not sure what they delete.

What about physically focus on the browse,
pick the line you want to delete....
mouse double click event to trigger ...

Thus I need to get rid of the CTRL-D
and use the mouse events ?

Is this any good ?

Ken,
That would work, but I would suggest that you have a confirmation message popup to confirm the action to avoid unexpected deletions.
