This is my 2nd time today with thes problem, I solved the first instance by deleting the tables and copying tables from the backup. However, since this is the 2nd time, I need to figure out what's causing this so it doesn't happen again.
3 Tables: Ptble (Parent Table) linked 1:many to Ctble (Child Table) linked 1:many to GCtble (Grandchild table).
I have a form with 2 fields from the parent table and embedded browses for the Ctbl & GCtble. At first, all records were showing. Then I tried to create a report based on the set, Grouped on a field in the Ctble. A field from the Parent table and 7 fields form the Gctable made up the detail. It showed the grouping but no data showed in the detail.
Took a look at the form and all records in both browses were visable. Ctrl-I showed that the indexes in the Ctble had changed to Record #. I reset it to the previous index, clicked OK and exit. Walla, I heard all the records in the browse of the Gctble sing, "Happy Trails To You".
I've read the manual, searched the message board, read the article by Jeff Moses, Compacted the DB, all to no avail. (BTW, the 1st time this happened, all records in both browses disappeared). I even created a new form but it behaved the same way so that ruled out a corrupt form.
Anyone have a clue what may be causing this? If need be, I can attach a zip file after editing data, etc.
Thanks for any thoughts or ideas.
