I have had none of these problems, but our app is almost dont, will be run on a network, but we're just starting beta testing..... Here are some clue to help everyone else fix their problem though
1. For win9x users suspecting registry problems, get Regclean, its available for download from Microsoft's web site.
2. Get rid of you're peer to peer networks, no resorce management, no security, no scalablility, no reliability and I'm sure I can think of some other words that end it y. + servers are the best area's for profit if you sell hardware also.
3. If you want the best file and resource manegement you need to run a Novell Netware 5.1 server, Novell clearly has a better product and good bang for your buck if you get the small business suite. Win2000 server does a good job, but not as good as teh Netware product.
4. Most Blue screens of death (hearafter BSOD) are caused by memmory leaks, where some programs are using memory they arn't supposed to. To try and stop this problem start off by getting rid of legacy devices. ISA cards mostly, then make sure that no hardware makes use of real mode drivers (ones that load is DOS) win9x has no need for and autoexec.bat or config.sys file, check to see if these files are loading and drivers, unless you have apps that run in DOS an use those drivers you don;t need them loaded, delete or rename the autoexec.bat and config.sys files. Finaly if you're running win98, win98SE or WinME you can run msconfig. I think its in the windows/system folder, or just start->run->msconfig this app lets you drop files lines from various config files without deleting them, it also lets you edit the registry key that loads background apps without using regedit. (note do not uncheck "rundll = load power profile" or "systray"). Thease things should help you get rid of some BSODs.
If anyone has any questions about what I said here aore wants some more info feel free to e-mail me @
