I have a simple report which has the following filter:
Between(DOFR,Var->Askd_Enter_Begin_Date,Var->Askd_Enter_End_Date)
It works jim dandy when the begin date 1/1/98 and the end date 1/1/01 are applied, all records show.
However, there is one report where I do not want teh name "AA Cass" to appear. I modified the filter as follows:
Name'"AA Cass".AND.Between(DOFR,Var->Askd_Enter_Begin_Date,Var->Askd_Enter_End_Date).
When the report is run, the date prompts appear ok and after entering the same dates, less than 24 records show when there ought to be somewhere around 150. If I were to create a browse or a form based on the same table that the report is based on, the same records appear rather than all the records. The Show All is not highlighted. I discovered that by adding the first part of the expression, the primary index for the table gets switched.
I redid everything switching the primary index to Name. Added the Var->Askd filter, all OK. Added the first part and again it switched indexes, this time to a different index than the 1st time it switched.
After removing the first part of the expression, the index stays the same and doesn't switch back. I have to manually select the primary index.
Any ideas why the index switches to a random index after adding the first part of the expression?
Thanks
