Works fine for me if I comment out the copy.run() as in

':copy.run("app_alfdos").

Double check the spelling of "app_alfdos", otherwise I have no clue. Did you get a line number or something to tell which of the two scripts failed?

Hi Stan,

It was my booboo. The operation is an append not a copy. So the line
:copy.run("alf_appdos") was changed to :append.run("alf_appdos"). It
works as advertized now.

Hi Jerry,

Now you can use the code above, I removed my booboos. Where there is a
line ":append.run("afl_appdos"), just follow it with more of the same
to get your 5 operations running.

I have been following this thread and suggest a different, easier method. Set the button as hidden and only show it if a specific condition exists. Since this is a one use event, add a simple txt file or whatever to the original setup. When the form opens, check if the fie exists. If it does, show the button. If it doesn't, do nothing. When you run the button delete the file. What is in the file doesn't matter. It could be anything, since the file never opens.

Create a file called whatever in the database directory- "Open_once.txt"

on form OnActivate

if file_exists(a5.get_path()+chr(92)+"Open_once.txt")
button.show()
end if

Then on the code for the button

if file_exists(a5.get_path()+chr(92)+"Open_once.txt")
file.remove(a5.get_path()+chr(92)+"Open_once.txt")
end if

I prefer using the full path for all file actions. I add the chr(92), which is the backslash, since the path function does not return that.
