have 2 tables - a) invoices b)dummy invoices
both have exactly the same fields (about 150 fields) (matter of fact, created invoices & duplicated dummy invoices).
purpose for these 2 tables: data is entered in the main `invoices` table (as per our standard descriptions of products - which is a must for us for our inventory purposes) - hwr, in few cases buyers prefer their own descriptions so would like a copy of the record in the `dummy invoices` table so just the description needs to be amended instead recreating the record.
we are not so good at xbasics so easiest way for us is to carry out an append operations of all records irrespective required or not.(check for duplicates by invoice no. and do not append)
all goes well when creating the new operation the 1st time - but when repeating the operation from an icon in the main menu - get an error :
`memory corrupt - terminate operations".
even if try to run or design from the control panel get the same error.only way would be to delete & recreate the operation again (have done it 10 times already and getting tired).
have even removed all the indexes from the dummy invoices table as not required.
have a lot of other such append operations in other tables and no problem in those.
any suggestion would be helpful also besides append, is there any other better way to copy a record from one table to another (besides extensive use of xbasics which is beyond us).

p.s: using winme at work & windows 2000 pro at home. same problem. all system: pentium 3 - memory: 256.
besides this no other problem - though intend to change to windows 2000 pro at work also as winme sucks.
