ui_dlg_refresh question

Good Morning,

Quick question I have a dialog that displays data from a set. There is one field displayed for the child record in a list box. The field that is displayed has a filter as follows :

if cmonth(tcd.Due_Date)=var->vduemonth .and. tcd.Scheduled=.f.then
job = job + tcd.eval("job")+ crlf()

When the user hightlights a record and action takes place. The records values are assigned or changed. One of the values that changes is The scheduled field which obviously
changes to true.

My question is can i have the list box or dialog box refresh
Since the highlighted record is now true it does not jive with the filter I would like it to disappear from the list.

I have tried ui_dlg_refresh with no success
Any Ideas or Suggestions?

Brian,

The answer is yes, however, I need to know more to direct you. ui_dialog_refresh() is for Xdialog .. is that what you have?

You might want to check out the "Watch Expression"

Brian,

The watch expression is used to detect a change in a list to repopulate it. This probably doesn't apply to your situation.

I have a Xdialog that changes a sort order and uses ui_dialog_refresh() to show the new order.

Did you use the genie to create the xdialog? Would it be possible to post your code if not or email me directly?

It mean to go and check the {watch} command on the Xdialog reference.
It is in the Xdialog reference under the Xdialog Commands.

you don't really need the {watch} expression. you just need to keep re-evaluating the code that populates your listbox.
here's an example that doesn't use a table, but it could just as easily populate the data from a table. the event code that is triggered every time a name is clicked calls on the "create_member_arrays" function to repopulate the arrays--then the ui_dlg_box automatically refreshes itself:
