Hi
I am trying to set up conditional table lookup using only one table.
I can create the conditions but the lookup doesn't work and when I go back into the field rules and look at the fields I am selecting I get the Field not found when moving around the fill parameters window.
I know how to set up a session variable to use in a filter for a regular Lookup. But it dosen't give me the flexibility I need so the Conditional table route.
My setup is as follows. I haven't included the linking field info.
conditions for choosing DBF
~~~~~~~~~~~~`
DBF1
faculty.dbf... exams->venue="With Invigilator"
FILTER on faculty table
invigilator = .t.
FILL parameters
faculty->primeid... exam->venuesite... No
faculty->fname..... Yes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DBF2
faculty.dbf... exams->venue="Exam Centre"
FILTER on faculty table
faculty->examcenter = .t.
FILL parameters
faculty->primeid... exam->venuesite... No
faculty->examcentre..... Yes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
faculty.dbf... exams->venue="Design Centre"
FILTER on faculty table
faculty->examcenter = .t.
FILL parameters
faculty->primeid... exam->venuesite... No
faculty->designcentre..... Yes
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
My problem appears when I move around the fill parameters.
If I start fresh and redo everything it gets accepted (no error messages). But It doesn't work during data entry and when you go back to edit the lookup field rule the error messages happen
Hope this is clear enough.
Thanks
Robert
