Pack All tables

To All:
I am trying to pack all tables in the current database.
I am using the following code.
Inside the directory where the application is stored I have Alpha default tables like A_xxx or _codexxxx
I am trying to eliminate these from the pack operation because I keep getting errors

my code is not working
any thoughts

= "C:\Program Files\A5V5\*.dbf"

From my interactive code editor, and that is not the path to the current table/set. Could "A_DB_CURRENT_PATH" be returning the wrong info?

I see a couple issues here. First, the files.next statement should be after the end if. If the file found does not meet the criteria in the if loop, the next file is not found.

table_name = files.name()
IF substr(table_name,1,1)"_" .or. substr(table_name,1,2)"_"
location=alltrim(table_name) + " packing files"
tbl=table.open(table_name, file_rw_exclusive)
tbl.pack()
tbl.close()
files.next()
END IF
files.next()
END WHILE

The second issue is that the table will not pack if it an't be opened exclusive, so you need to trap that. Here is some code from a pack routine I use.

on error goto error_pack

tbl = table.open(A_DB_CURRENT_PATH+file_name(i),FILE_RW_EXCLUSIVE)
