Dang! Apparently "Use HTML" doesn't work here. Let's try it one more time. (Get the download from the first attempt.)
At the last convention I promised to upload a copy of my latest incarnation of the Network Optimize function and I'm finally doing it. In fact, rather than posting just the script, I'm posting a whole mini-app so you can see and study how it works.
I also started a new topic because the old one (Automated Network Optimize) was so long that I was afraid the new stuff might get lost in the jumble.
This latest incarnation works better with applications that use a "Run on Load" form. Unfortunately it's not quite as automated but none of my customers have experienced any problems with the small additional interaction required.
Attached is a self extracting zip file that has a complete mini-app that can be used to demonstrate how it works. The scripts and "Menu_opt_finish" form can be copied for your own use.
PLEASE NOTE:
The extension on the attached file was changed from .exe to .exh only because I've heard that some systems don't like to download .exe files any more due to possible viruses. After downloading the file, change the extension back to .exe and run it. I recommend that you create a NEW directory for this app and put the .exe file in it before running/unzipping it. The files will be extracted to whichever directory the file is in at the time you run it.
