Hello.
All has been going well with our use of Qreportbuilder. Great program, and our business now revolves around the reports we create with QRB.
We had our main desktop computer crash last week, and have reformatted it, reinstalled windows, quickbooks enterprise edition, and QRB. Now, however, when we try to run QRB reports from this computer, we get errors.
Specifically...
=====
Table data was not refreshed //path/to/data/
Error reported was:
Could not create ResultSet from DataSource definition.
Could not connect to Database. Error reported was:
The QODBC Driver for Quickbooks does not appear to be installed.
This software is required to connect to Quickbooks.
========
The odd thing is also that our other workstations, which access the same Quickbooks data via QRB Runtime Edition on our network, get similar errors (though, i don't have the exact error messages).
We did not, to my knowledge, change anything on the server. However, we did reinstall Quickbooks Enterprise Edition on this main workstation. I don't know if reinstalling on the workstation would have affected the QB file on the network itself.
So my questions are:
Is the QODBC driver installed automatically with Quickbooks Enterprise edition?
Do I need to install the Read Only QODBC driver on each machine?
Is this a problem with QRB or with QB?
I tried to reinstall QRB, and expected it to come up configured to get data from the sample company file, so that I could start the process to connect to our QB data, but it didn't start up with the sample data. It thinks it's already configured to my QB Data.
So, in a nutshell, What to do next? How do we get QRB re-connected to QB on this workstation, and the others running QBRE?
Thanks for your help!
We're stuck!
