Default FormView and ViewBox documentation available

Documentation on the FormView and ViewBox controls are available:

    FormView Control - http://documentation.alphasoftware.c...ormViewControl
    ViewBox Control - http://documentation.alphasoftware.c...ViewBoxControl

You can also find links to these documents in Alpha Anywhere in the FormView Builder and ViewBox Builder dialogs.

Sarah, I'm guess that the ability to use formview with ux controls still hasn't been implemented? Formview is hidden when I try to use that setting. I typically don't use formview controls and prefer custom controls anyway, but I have a project where it would make good sense and it uses bound tables rather than lists.

Given that the ViewBox control is considered to be lightweight, do you think it is a good/wise substitute for a grid component?

I have, over time, replaced most of my grids with lists, and am now converting most lists to ViewBoxes. It requires quite a lot of coding to be able to edit the data in them, but they are more lightweight than the list. There are a few things I miss that you can do in a list that you can't easily do in ViewBox, but I don't miss anything about the grids that I have replaced. For speed of making a form to get something working, my go to is a list with a detail view then I will invariably work on converting this to a Viewbox with fly in panels for editing purposes for a more lightweight component.
