I am very new to Alpha but have experienced a problem which I suspect many newbies who are also using MS Office 365 will be struggling with as it occurs during the tutorial Build Your First Mobile App.
My current system set up is:
In Lesson 2: Build a Database Connection String / Build an Access Connection String / Step 7 you should see this:
connectionstring6.png
But I got this errror message:
ODBCError.png
This message has nothing to do with Alpha but is an issue with Click-to-Run versions of Office such as Office 365 as described in this MS document from June 2016 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2874601.
However, the problem resolution is incomplete and I had to do the following to get a working system:
I hope that this is of help to other newbies.

My current system set up is:
- Dell laptop E6430
- 8GB RAM
- Windows 10
- MS Office 365 Home ( 2016 ) which includes Access
In Lesson 2: Build a Database Connection String / Build an Access Connection String / Step 7 you should see this:

But I got this errror message:

This message has nothing to do with Alpha but is an issue with Click-to-Run versions of Office such as Office 365 as described in this MS document from June 2016 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2874601.
However, the problem resolution is incomplete and I had to do the following to get a working system:
- Uninstall Office 365: You can't install MSI versions of Office when a Click-to-Run version is installed.
- Install Access Runtime 2013: You can't install the 2016 version of Access Runtime because you have can't have both MSI and Click-to-Run versions of a given release installed at the same time.
- Reinstall Office 365 ( 2016 )
- Verify installation of Office 365: Control Panel/Administrative Tools/ODBC Data Sources (32-bit). In User DSN select MS Access Database and click Configure. If the configuration dialogbox appears the problem should be resolved.
I hope that this is of help to other newbies.
