    Default Alpha five version 5.0

    Hi
I need help. I last week had to restore my PC from windows restore. Something happened to some of my files disappeared. They have not been deleted, i have check recycle bin hidden files etc. I am using windows XP professional (not upgraded to later versions as most of my programs will not run in later version of windows.
However, l have in part got it working, my date base is still intact (we use this as an opticians to sent reminder to patients that are due for eye-tests).
The program is AV5, home edition, version build 1506, system addins build 1058.
i have checked the activation key is linked to user name but nothing works. i have an 14 digit activation number but is is asking for 16 digits.
Also it says that it is an unregistered. but i can not register it.
Can any one please shed some help on this as i can not solve the issue.
Customer service say this version is no longer supported?
    Thanking you in advance

Your post won't get much exposure in the forum area designated as

As far as I am aware Alpha license numbers have always been 16 digits. The activation key is tied to the machine name. You will need to enter a valid license number and then the activation key you have should work.
    There can be only one.

You posted your thread in the area reserved for questions and comments about the forum itself, not about Alpha.

The Alpha Five v5 section is here.

    http://www.alphasoftware.com/alphafo...Five-Version-5

I just double checked and my A5V5 license number is 16 digits but it is for the full version, not the home version. The home version may be different.
