I have a tabbed UI with 2 UXs open.
From each UX I have a button that opens the same child UX. The child UX is a "Document Manager" with a file upload control, using the Action Javascript "File Upload" builder.
The file upload works like a charm, with one glitch.....
The glitch is that the pop-up window to select the file to upload does not always close after the file is uploaded.
If I open the child from Parent A, no glitch. If I then open the child from Parent B, no glitch. BUT if I then go back and open the child from Parent A, the pop-up does not close. It will then continue to close using the child opened from Parent B, and continue to NOT close using the child opened from Parent A.
If I change the order and open the child from Parent B first, then from Parent A, then back to Parent B, now it is the child opened from Parent B that has the glitch.
Even though the pop-up does not close, the upload works fine.
So it is consistent and can be re-created at will.
Here are some more details:
The child UX is opened with a distinct alias from each parent.
The child is opened in Modal mode so only one child UX can be open at a time.
The child UX is opened using the cached UX.
I believe the problem stems from using the cached UX. I think there must be a div with a duplicate name being created, but I have not been able to find it using firebug.
So I am looking for ideas.
